    Yes, I re read my high school AP European History textbook My nerddom has reached new levels.I have to say that this book is a testimony to gifted teachers I ve held onto this book for the past 15 years because I LOVED this history class But after re reading the textbook, that definately hadto do with Mrs Erdman than anything else She made history come alive, and spoke about historical figures as if she were there I vividly remember a lecture about good old King Louis XIV The tex Yes, I re read my high school AP European History textbook My nerddom has reached new levels.I have to say that this book is a testimony to gifted teachers I ve held onto this book for the past 15 years because I LOVED this history class But after re reading the textbook, that definately hadto do with Mrs Erdman than anything else She made history come alive, and spoke about historical figures as if she were there I vividly remember a lecture about good old King Louis XIV The textbook, on the other hand, was OK You can definately tell that it was written in the heyday of multiculturalism It seems like every chapter has a section labeled women in this era or minorities in this era , as if groups other than white males lived outside of the rest of history It reminds me of a parody of a history book I once read where every paragraph ended and during this time women and minorities were also making contributions to society Also and this is a factor of the wide expanse of time the book has to cover everything is covered on a very surface level I prefer reading about one historical event or person and learingabout them On the other hand, I do enjoy reading about history, and I re learned a lot from this book.Mrs Erdman gets five stars The textbook gets three stars Hence the four star rating
